“I’m loving it” or “I love it”?

Why do native English speakers sometimes say “I’m loving it” instead of “I love it” when we are taught that love is a stative verb and shouldn’t be used in the continuous tense?

I’ve seen both forms used, and I’m confused about when each one is correct. Could someone explain the difference and provide a few examples?
