An eyelid is a thin fold of skin that covers and protects an eye. The levator palpebrae superioris muscle retracts the eyelid, exposing the cornea to the outside, giving vision.

An eyelash or simply lash is one of the hairs that grows at the edge of the eyelid. It grows in three layers on the edge of the eye lids.

The sclera, also known as the white of the eye, is the opaque, fibrous, protective, outer layer of the human eye containing mainly collagen and some elastic fiber.

Eye color is defined by that of the iris. In optical terms, the pupil is the eye’s aperture, while the iris is the diaphragm.

The pupil is a black hole located in the center of the iris of the eye that allows light to strike the retina. It appears black because light rays entering the pupil are either absorbed by the tissues inside the eye directly, or absorbed after diffuse reflections within the eye that mostly miss exiting the narrow pupil.
